Dar Far Contribution

I was sitting there on the beach that Sunday evening getting lost in the waves of eternity, slowly losing my focus on reality. A gentle breeze reminded me that I was part of the universe and that I was not alone. I heard a voice saying hello repeatedly and I resisted the urge to lose focus of the waves: my center of attention. The voice grew stronger and closer. Ultimately when the elf-like girl sat on her heels she stifled my silence. She gazed into my eyes deeply before she spoke and asked me if I wanted to buy some of her hand made hemp-jewelry. Hemp, what a beautiful word. Life changing amazing moments came to mind and I thought of you.

She told me her name and why she was there that day in Sayulita on the beach. “It is nice to make your acquaintance,” I said to her. She giggled and in my drunken state I think I chuckled. She then began telling me her life story. At some point I found a necklace that was suitable for you and decided to donate to her living and buy it for you. I learned that the girl’s name is Sarah and that she traveled from beach city to beach city in Mexico with her boyfriend Careo. It was a privilege to meet someone who managed to learn how to silence societal-collective views of how life should be lived when one is in their late twenties. I became inquisitive of her nature. She began talking about life and living. We talked so much that the tide had then reached our sitting area, which was on a mini hill. While moving I asked, “Why,” when thoughts of one’s existence in life came to my judgment. Apparently, not only was she an artist, but also telepathic. I ended the sentence I started earlier much later with, “and the point?”

“That’s an answer in itself!” she answered.

I replied, “I think I keep asking this question over and over to myself and to those individuals that I have the pleasure of meeting on a daily basis. Asking it in as many different ways that I could think of…waiting to hear what I want to hear.”

Dar Far is a philosophy, a way of life, a breeding ground for cross cultural communication.
